Where would you like to charge your vehicle?

The charging time depends on the battery temperature and the charging power/type as well as the battery size (capacity in kWh). The higher the charging power in kW and with direct current (DC), the shorter the charging time compared to lower charging power with alternating current (AC). Tip: Try to drive a few kilometers before charging so that the battery temperature can be pre-tempered.

What is the outside temperature?

The outside temperature has a significant influence on the battery temperature, on which the charging time depends. Tip: Try to park your e-vehicle in a garage overnight during winter.

What is your current and desired state of charge?

With the left slider, you can specify the remaining capacity of your e-vehicle in % (since it depends on the battery size/capacity) - with the right slider, on the other hand, you can set the desired state of charge, e.g. to be able to complete a desired route. You can compare this information with the current tank capacity of a conventional combustion vehicle and how many liters per 100km you need to reach your desired destination. Tip: Ideally, only charge your e-vehicle to 80%, especially when charging with direct current (DC). A state of charge of 100% should only be aimed for if you start your longer journey immediately after charging. Charging from 80% to 100% is enormously long and does not significantly increase your range. In addition, charging to 100% shortens the life of your battery.

What does simulated indicative charging time mean?

The charging power in kW is not related to the engine power in kW. Depending on where you charge, a different charging infrastructure/station is available to you. Tip: When charging in public, e.g. in a charging park (such as those of IONITY fast charging stations) with a charging capacity of over 100kWh (DC) are available to you, while when charging at home you usually only charge with up to 11 kWh (AC). What needs to be taken into account here is what charging power is provided and what charging power the selected model can technically handle.
