Golf 1 (Type 17)

The first Golf rolled off the production line in 1974 and has been impressing the world ever since with its striking design. Four years later, the cabriolet version appeared.

Golf 2 (Type 19E)

The second generation was visually very similar to its predecessor, but being bigger and more powerful, it took the top spot. Well-known equipment options include the Golf GL, GTD and the Carat.

Golf 3 (Type 1H)

The third Golf surprised with new shapes, yet remained loyal to the basic visuals. It appears more curved, with more sweeping lines. The headlights became wider and it has an overall more modern look.

Golf 4 (1J)

The fourth generation Golf was produced between 1997 and 2003, and was initially launched with eight different engine options. The “Generation” special edition was produced to celebrate the Golf 25th anniversary.
