For example, the multifunction steering wheel in leather, or the Digital Cockpit with its 26 cm (10.25 inch) TFT colour display available to you as standard with the Tiguan Elegance. The LED interior lighting in the front and rear and the ambient lighting* create a cozy atmosphere of the highest quality.

The Tiguan shines in full splendor thanks to the LED tail light clusters and the optional IQ.LIGHT - LED matrix headlights. Standard in the Tiguan Elegance, these come with cornering lights and are complemented with dynamic Light Assist and new taillights. Thus, depending on the driving situation, individual LED segments are specifically switched on or off for light distribution. This ensures that you not only have a relaxing drive but also everyone in front of you in oncoming traffic. Another spectacular feature is the integrated dynamic turn signal that shows the direction with a fluid light movement.

You’ll see your Tiguan in a new light every day, as you gently illuminate the vehicle interior in 30 colours. Choose betwwen a cooler or warmer colour climate, in the brightly-lit city or on a dark road at night, depending on the occasion you create a different, suitable atmosphere for you and your passengers.  Ambient lighting is part of the standard equipment for Tiguan Elegance.

The optional Emergency Assist* intervenes in a medical emergency when it detects that the driver is no longer active, and attempts to reactivate him.** If this is not successful, it brings the vehicle to a controlled standstill within the limits of the system and can thus also possibly prevent an accident.

Thanks to its Front Assist emergency braking assistant with Pedestrian Monitoring, your Tiguan can help reduce the severity of the accident or, ideally, avoid the accident in the event of a collision threat.* It can detect pedestrians and vehicles on the road and warn the driver in time. If the driver does not react the system can initiate emergency braking.*

The proactive occupant protection system protects you within the limits of the system in critical situations such as imminent collisions. It can detect situations in which there is an increased risk of an accident. It then automatically locks the windows and the tilting and panoramic sliding sunroof, and tightens the front seat belts as a precautionary measure. Good to know that this is possible. Even better if you never experience it yourself.
