Execution of the software updates

Depending on the type, a number of updates are offered as Over-the-Air updates, while others have to be performed at a Volkswagen Retailer. This information is provided each time there is an update.

Over-the-Air updates
Some software updates can be performed “Over-the-Air”. Due to a legal requirement, your one-time consent to the use of data is required. Thus, we are able to send the data for the Over-the-Air updates to your vehicle. Find out here how it works and which conditions need to be met.
