With VW Connect and We Connect, you can take advantage of many different services that make your everyday life easier through the Volkswagen app, the myVolkswagen customer portal or straight from your vehicle.
The availability of the services is country-specific and may vary according to model, model year and equipment.

Basic functions
Basic functions such as the Emergency Call Service and the legally required eCall Emergency System are available to you without the conclusion of a separate VW Connect or We Connect contract. If you wish to transfer selected personalised functions from one vehicle to another, you need a Discover Media or Discover Pro. You also need a Volkswagen ID user account and need to log into VW Connect or We Connect with your username and password.
VW Connect or We Connect - Your introduction to online services
Your gateway to Volkswagen’s digital services and the direct connection to your vehicle: with VW Connect or We Connect, your Volkswagen is ready for connectivity. Following one-off activation, you can use lots of helpful and innovative online services free of charge.
Usage of these free services requires you to sign up online to a separate VW Connect or We Connect contract with Volkswagen AG.
Please note that the unlimited availability of online services may depend on further preconditions such as the selected user role, service management settings or privacy settings in your vehicle.
VW Connect Plus or We Connect Plus - The whole world of online services
The entire world of digital services from Volkswagen brings connectivity to a new level: with your Volkswagen ID and VW Connect Plus or We Connect Plus activation, you have access to extra smart functions: from smart navigation with information almost in real time and Internet radio to using your smartphone as a remote control. For even more convenience and entertainment.
Usage of these services requires you to sign up online to a separate VW Connect Plus or We Connect Plus contract with Volkswagen AG.1

VW Connect- and We Connect-ready vehicles are ready for connectivity as standard. For new vehicles, depending on equipment, specific service bundles are available free of charge for an initial contract period. You can extend the services via your In-Car Shop in the infotainment system, for example, or via the Volkswagen Connect shop.
