Front Assist area monitoring system and adaptive cruise control

Lots of traffic? Not a problem

ACC adaptive cruise control prevents you from exceeding a pre-set top speed¹ and enables you to maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front². And in traffic jams, this means that your Golf can brake and pull off again completely automatically (with the optional DSG automatic gearbox).

The standard “Front Assist” emergency brake assist can warn you in the event of critical situations, support you with braking or even automatically apply the brake in an emergency².

Your built-in SOS phone

Every second counts in an emergency. The touch of a button is all it takes to connect you to an emergency call centre. Alternatively, your Volkswagen will automatically call for assistance, forwarding key data such as your location, vehicle and number of passengers straight to the call centre. Other services:
