Park Assist Plus
The optional Park Assist Plus system is not just able to tell you whether a parking space is big enough as you drive by – it also parks for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h, it will search for suitable parallel parking spaces – parking bays up to a speed of 20 km/h. Once you have decided on a parking space, you can start the parking manoeuvre. Park Assist Plus takes care of everything for you: steering, accelerator and brakes. All you have to do is monitor the parking manoeuvre. Park Assist Plus can also drive out of parallel parking spaces again.
Park Assist Pro
The optional Park Assist Pro makes entering and exiting more convenient for you – without having to squeeze into tight spaces. It offers you the ability to start automatic parking or unparking via the Park Assist Pro app. In addition, it offers you all the benefits of Park Assist Plus.
Memory function for Park Assist
Park Assist can be optionally extended with the memory function, making difficult parking situations easier for you: your vehicle can store individual parking processes and carry them out independently – ideal for garages and car ports.
You only have to park or drive out of a parking space yourself once and save the manoeuvre. The memory function can then repeat the manoeuvre itself: you only have to monitor it.
You can save a total of five different procedures for driving into and out of parking spaces. In conjunction with Park Assist Pro, you can also perform the parking process remotely.
Area View
The optional Area View function makes parking and manoeuvring easier for you: four cameras capture the area around your vehicle in a 360° view and show you kerbs, parking markings and obstacles clearly on the infotainment display.
Area View also shows you areas that are outside of your immediate field of vision, so you can even see ‘round the corner’.
Reversing Assist
Reversing Assist can help you to reverse along a route you have just driven in forward direction. The system automatically records the last 50 metres driven up to a speed of 35 km/h. Once you have engaged reverse gear, Reversing Assist takes over the steering. You just need to operate the accelerator and brake and monitor the manoeuvre. Your Volkswagen can therefore help you to reverse back out of a lane where there is no option to turn. The last 50 metres are also stored even if you have parked in the meantime.
