Monotonous journeys can sometimes turn into dangerous situations. This is where the optional Lane Assist can help: From a speed of 60 km/h, it can detect whether the vehicle unintentionally leaves its own lane. With corrective steering intervention, it can direct the driver’s attention back to what’s happening on the road.1,2
The optional Side Assist can alert you to dangerous lane changes. An LED indicator in the exterior mirror tells you when a vehicle is in your blind spot or approaching quickly from behind.
When you signal to change lane, Side Assist calculates whether one of these vehicles could pose a danger to you based on position or speed – and draws your attention to this by flashing conspicuously.
Together with the Lane Assist lane departure warning it can also provide support through corrective steering intervention.1,2
The Rear Traffic Alert warns about vehicles crossing your path when reversing out of a parking space. If you do not react, the system can intervene and brake the vehicle to alleviate or even prevent a collision.1,2
The optional exit warning system helps you to avoid dangerous situations when exiting your vehicle. It can detect when another vehicle is approaching from behind and warn you acoustically and visually before getting out of the car.1
