Parking assist systems for the new ID.3 Neo at a glance
The following park assist systems are available for various new ID.3 Neo models:
Memory function for Park Assist
Area View surround view camera
Park Assist Plus
Optional Park Assist Plus can tell you whether a parking space is big enough as you drive by – it also parks your vehicle for you. Up to a speed of 40 km/h, it will search for suitable parallel parking spaces – parking bays up to a speed of 20 km/h. Once you have decided on a parking space, you can start the parking manoeuvre. Park Assist Plus takes care of everything on your behalf: steering, acceleration, and braking. All you have to do is monitor the parking manoeuvre. Park Assist Plus can also drive out of parallel parking spaces again.
Park Assist Pro
Optional Park Assist Pro also makes getting in and out of the car easier – saving you from having to squeeze into tight spaces. It offers you the option of starting the automatic parking manoeuvre via the Park Assist Pro app. It also offers all the advantages of Park Assist Plus.
Memory function for Park Assist
Park Assist can optionally be extended by the memory function and simplify difficult parking situations: your vehicle can store and independently carry out individual parking manoeuvres – ideal for garages and carports. You only have to park or drive out of a parking space yourself once and save the manoeuvre. The memory function can then repeat the manoeuvre itself and all you have to do is monitor it. You can save a total of five different parking and pulling out manoeuvres. In combination with “Park Assist Pro”, you can also control the parking manoeuvre remotely.
Area View
Optional “Area View” surround view camera makes parking and manoeuvring easier for you: four cameras capture the area around your vehicle in a 360° view and show you kerbs, parking markings and obstacles clearly on the infotainment display. Area View also shows you areas that are outside your immediate field of vision, so that you can even see “around the corner”.
Reversing Assist
Reversing Assist can help you to reverse along a route you have just driven forwards along. The system automatically records the last 50 metres driven up to a speed of 35 km/h. Once you have engaged reverse gear, Reversing Assist takes over the steering. All you need to do is operate the accelerator and brake and monitor the manoeuvre. Your Volkswagen can therefore help you to reverse back out of a lane where there is no option to turn. The last 50 metres are also saved even if you have parked in the meantime.
