Intervals and scope of the inspection

    Intervals

The sticker in the door pillar or the Service Interval Display in your speedometer is where you'll find your next service appointment depending on one thing: Is it with or without an oil change?

When is my vehicle due its next service?

    Our service is divided into:

    • Appointments with an oil change (e.g. Interval Service): In this case, the Service Interval Display or the multimedia system will show the next appointment
    • Appointments without an oil change (e.g. inspection): In this case, the next appointment is found in the door pillar

By observing these intervals, you can preserve the operational safety and the value of your Volkswagen. You also benefit from our mobility guarantees, meaning that the Volkswagen roadside assistance (for breakdown and accident) remains free-of-charge when you observe the recommended service units.

    Scope

During an inspection, we perform maintenance works in accordance with the inspection schedule and make sure that your vehicle remains reaady and safe for the road.

We check 42 test points on your car. The inspection encompasses work on the following components:

    • Chassis
    • Electronics
    • Engine and gears
    • Vehicle body

Care, service and maintenance works can not only serve to retain the value of your car, but also play an important role in operational and road safety.

Inspection for hybrid and electric vehicles

Electromobility is not only an exciting and intelligent concept, it also makes our life easier. For example, the maintenance of an electric vehicle is more convenient. Fewer components means less wear and need for repairs. So, you can benefit from lower maintenance costs and fewer visits to the workshop. We have compiled the service intervals for the e-Golf, ID. models and hybrid vehicles, such as the Golf GTE or Passat GTE.

The right service for every Volkswagen

Your vehicle deserves the right service – whether it’s a new or used car, a combustion model, hybrid or electric vehicle. That’s why we offer a variety of service types. No matter which one you choose – you’ll benefit from our knowledge as a manufacturer, quality and Volkswagen parts.
